Understanding that it is you that is powerful and not the things you surround yourself with.

In today's episode we'll explore the tendency we have on this journey, to place other individuals, words, symbols or things, "above us". How we look to certain physical items, certain words, certain symbols as the source of our power, instead of understanding that as the soul, we are actually creating all the things we believe are giving us power.
This is also true of any teacher or mentor we may happen to be associated with at the moment. We are all self, we are all soul/consciousness, no expression inherently more aware than another. And while in the moment another individual may have a greater understanding of their own ability and of your ability than you do, it is not possible for them to be more spiritual than you.
They can guide you to your own unlimited understanding, and I will suggest that if they are "worth their salt" that is exactly what they will attempt to do. Not hold you in a position of less than. Of course, in actuality, if they are doing that, it is to a large degree, a reflection of your beliefs of the situation.
