The World is Filled With Love and Good - Healing Your Book From Bad Interpretations

As a child, I had this feeling of complete joy and innocence. I would spend hours with myself and God. Then I was introduced to sin, separation, guilt and shame from well meaning teachers and leaders.

From the beginning it didn't make sense to me. I am "dirty" and a "sinner" because two people were naked in a garden, and the woman listened to a talking snake?? Somehow, this all loving and omniscient "god" was so angered by this, that according to what I was being taught, up to two-thirds of the world's population was going to be roasted like a hot dog on an eternal rotisserie?

When Barb and I started to read scripture seriously in our twenties, we asked a lot of questions. All of the typical answers we received from the western interpretation of scripture never settled our hearts.

Here are some examples:

We would ask, "Is God love? Is God the same yesterday, today and forever, with no shadow or turning?" The answer was always, "yes, but..." Scripture tells us God is love and love keeps no record of wrong. So our next question was, "When did God change and start keeping track of sins? When did God change the rules from an Old Covenant to a New Covenant if He never changes? If His mercy lasts forever, why is there a time frame for me to make a decision...or else!"

"If the world is fallen, why is the world is so precise and orderly? Why does a seed planted by a Muslim in Iran act the same way as a seed planted by an atheist in Sweden or a Buddhist in China? Why is the world is so precise and divinely ordered a rocket launched from a country supposedly not "following god" can follow the laws of physics and connect to the international space station traveling at five miles per second, yes per second! Why do the laws of nature work everywhere and for everyone if we live in a 'fallen' world?"

"Why does "god" desire us to suffer for his will according to 1 Peter 4, when no loving parent or grandparent desires their children or grandchildren to suffer? Are we more loving and compassionate than "god" who is the source of love and mercy? If we pray for people who are sick and in lack, could we be praying against "god's" will? What if "god's" will is for them to be sick and poor?"

In this message I address all of these questions. The great news is that God is love, always has been and always will be. The fact that His nature never changes is why we can trust Him and is the source of faith. He has already given you everything you could ever desire in this life. You can simply lay hold of any desire and enjoy it right now.

The journey is for you to experience every possibility as God in love. No matter how you may fail to operate in love, or misuse the anointing of God within you, the seed of God within all humanity will not return void. When the older brother fades and we lay down our flesh, all humanity will return to the eternal Body of God.

You can enjoy this life, and the life to come. The world is full of the love of God and good!
