While director Jafar Panahi appeals his 20-year filmmaking ban and potential incarceration by the Iranian government, he uses the time under house arrest to begin staging what his most recent film would have been in THIS IS NOT A FILM (IN FILM NIST). Co-directed by Mojtaba Mirtahmasb, the 2011 non-fiction work expounds on the nature of a film and the life of an artist when continuing to create involves great personal risk.

Also, Mark Pfeiffer and Paul Markoff discuss how the coronavirus pandemic is affecting their movie watching, what changes may be coming to movie theaters when they reopen, and how this could affect what we see and how we see it.
