The problem most companies have when they outsource work for website design and development is they get back a finished product they love but don’t know how to edit the site on their own. Hooked on Code changes the structure of the development process to make updates easy as the business changes and grows. This week’s episode 66 of Female Founders Breaking Boundaries is about hiring an agency!

Have you ever felt like you were WAY too busy, stressed out, burnt out, and overwhelmed, so you were advised to delegate some tasks to take things off your plate and free up some time? Except, maybe it didn't work. If getting out of the day-to-day in your business was as simple as hiring more people, then why are you still feeling overwhelmed and burned out? You are not alone! Sometimes, simply delegating tasks doesn’t work and instead shifts your workload from “doing” to “managing.”

I invite you to use the exercise that our own C-Suite clients use to take the first step in turning your team into a well-oiled, self-managed machine- and get you out of the delegation catch-22. Download the exercise here to get started!

In this episode of Female Founders Breaking Boundaries, my guest Torre Capistran shares the value in delivering a freelance experience with an agency skill level and actionable steps you can take right now to use the culture index assessment to understand your unique traits. Some of the things Torre and I cover in this episode are:

  • The number one issue clients have when it comes to outsourcing for a custom website and how Torre’s company works to change that.
  • Client benefits from outsourcing web design and development to a niche agency that works within their unique skillset and values.
  • Admittedly being bad at some things to be the best at others to book more aligned clients.
  • Questions to ask when you’re considering working with a web agency:
    • Can you run me through your process?
    • How much time would you estimate that is needed from me as the client to complete this project?
    • Can you show me what my website will be like to edit myself once it is launched?
    • In what instance would the cost of this project go beyond the initial bid and what is the likelihood of that?
    • Will you be building a custom theme or do you use a builder?
    • What do I get in exchange for my dollars and what do I get back in return if you don’t deliver on what you’re promising me?
  • Breaking down my culture index results to better understand how I am operating within my natural traits and visualize the gaps in my traits that my team can fill.
