This week we answer a listener’s question. Our listener informed us that her friend who is a cleaner was sacked from her agency cleaning job because she ate a cheese sandwich that was left-over from a meeting. We look at whether the action of dismissal was a standard reaction, and what you should do if you find yourself in a similar situation.
It's our view, that the more you are able to acquaint yourself with your employment rights in this area, the more your rights will act as an early warning system, which you can use to spot bad treatment or illegal treatment that you may be suffering at work.
