If you want to go from employee to entrepreneur then start with sales! If you're like me and shy away from it you may eventually find yourself doing it anyway...and loving it! I got started in lead generation but found that I enjoy the sales process way more. Now I'm in B2B sales.
Even if your goal is just to build a personal brand and become an influencer you effectively need to know how to lead people. Sales is how you become a person of influence.
