Numbers 30:1,2 Moses spoke to the heads of the tribes of the children of Israel,
saying, This is the thing which the LORD has commanded. When a man vows a
vow to the LORD or swears an oath to bind his soul with a bond, he shall not
break his word, he shall do according to all that proceeds out of his mouth.
Jeremiah 2:5,6 Thus said the Lord, What iniquity have your fathers found in me,
that they are gone far from me, and have walked after vanity, and are become
vain? Neither said they, Where is the LORD that brought us up out of the land
of Egypt, that led us through the wilderness, through a land of deserts and of pits,
through a land of drought, and of the shadow of death, through a land that no man
passed through, and where no man dwelled?
John 8:6-8 This they said, tempting him, that they might have to accuse him. But
Jesus stooped down, and with his finger wrote on the ground, as though he heard
them not. So when they continued asking him, he lifted up himself, and said unto
them, He that is without sin among you, let him first cast a stone at her. And again
he stooped down, and wrote on the ground.
