equipment purchases.
Dr. Leune explains that dentists should aim to spend less than 4% of their collections on supplies and equipment, which can be achieved by following his
five-step method:
- Identify what you need
- Research and compare options
- Create a standard operating procedure
- Implement and monitor the process,
- Re-evaluate and refine the process as needed.
Additionally, the podcast discusses three important steps to master the dental industry, which include storing things centrally, joining a group for better pricing, and optimizing the formulary.
Enforcing the budget is emphasized as the most important step, with dental assistants responsible for ordering and the office manager or owner approving the order before it can be placed.
