Without our express consent, our personal information is collected and poured out like salt from a shaker because of public records laws. Whether it’s to document major life events, property purchases, voting, and other things, laws require the collection and public release of vast amounts of personal information. While these laws have their reasons, in a digital age such information becomes the basis for unacceptable privacy invasions.
