Set in the summer of 2021, Perfect Retreat is about Sam, still grieving from the loss of a close relative, winning a competition to spend two weeks on an artists' retreat in a remote island in the North Atlantic. But what does the plaque above the door: "Creativity is Life" mean for those who can no longer create?
