Tamara Jade is a classically-trained Soul artist from the Washington D.C. Metropolitan area. She is an alumna of Oberlin College and Conservatory of Music where she received a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology and a Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance.
Whether she is singing an R&B classic ballad or jazz standard, Tamara’s voice is known for its gorgeous timbre, impeccable control, and extensive range. She has performed with major artists like Lizzo, The Zac Brown Band, Ledisi, and toured with Cory Henry & The Funk Apostles. In 2020 Tamara became a contestant on Season 19 of NBC’s The Voice where her audition has garnered over 7 million views. She ended the competition as a Top 9 Semi-Finalist. Jade has also been featured in the New York Times, People, Popsugar, Billboard, USA Today, and Access Hollywood. Her debut E.P., “Self Aware,” released in October 2019, reached #7 on the Global Soul Chart!
With an eclectic, but soulful sound, Tamara’s music infuses elements from several genres to create an authentic but familiar sound that inspires others to chase their dreams and live life to its fullest potential all to a relatable soundtrack.
