A 17 year veteran of the Columbus Ohio Police Department is out of a job. On December 22, 2020 at 1:40am police received a call on the non emergency number. Police arrive and shortly after, Officer Adam Coy shot and killed 47 year old Andre Hill. He was fighting or being combative, he was holding up his cell phone. Officer Coy was fired immediately. Attorney Ben Crump is representing the family and has filed a civil suit against the department.
