For our 5th Sunday family service Pastor Micah and Kid's Ministry Director Sarah shared on the topic of self-control. Our min passage for the morning comes from Titus 2:11-12 which focuses on the importance of living a life marked by self-control. Self-control is choosing actions and attitudes that please God, not ourselves. The Holy Spirit helps us to develop self-control in 3 different ways:
- Our Thoughts
- Our Actions
- Our Words
Bottom Line: Most simply put, self-control helps us choose to think, act, and say things that demonstrate God’s love and character.
