Suman Fernando is a UK-based Sri-Lankan psychiatrist. He is currently a Visiting Professor in the Department of Applied Social Sciences in London
Metropolitan University, UK and a Senior Lecturer at the European Centre for Migration and Social Care, University of Kent, UK. He was a consultant psychiatrist for more than twenty years in the National Health Service and is active in nongovernmental organizations in the UK and abroad. He has written and lectured widely on mental health development.
