It is apparent that technology is impacting the way militaries fight, run their logistics and use the battle-space to overcome opposition, often far more numerically superior than the boots that they can muster. There are areas where the impact is already profound, and many more where these technologies could impose decisively profound results.

This paradigm shift calls for a strategy for our Defence Forces to imbibe these technologies and tailor our modernisation plans accordingly.
