For a show as enduring, hilarious, and universally beloved as The Simpsons, it has a pretty weak pilot. Make no mistake, it’s not bad—it’s just not great, especially compared to the show’s following eight seasons or so (season six being the pinnacle of television). Writer and Comedian Steve Cooke joins Dan and Aidan for a stroll down memory lane as they attempt to distill what made America’ favourite cartoon family so appealing in the first place.
