Episode 7: Episode 7: Social Justice Issues in K-12 Physical Education in New York State
Manage episode 299211780 series 1908038
In this episode, graduate students from a summer Capstone and Contemporary Issues in Physical Education class at Canisius College have been invited to join Drs. Ramsey and Seymour. Students in this combined course are graduate teacher candidates on the verge of student-teaching, aspiring physical educators, or newly inducted teachers into the profession themselves. Students are asked to review journal articles (see below) ahead of time to discuss accordingly.
The group addresses social justice issues in New York State; specifically grading practices with physical educators and weight bias.
