Send us a textAnn Arbor Michigan, 1994. College junior Renee Welka and a friend are returning home to her apartment complex after a night out. Shortly after parking her car, a man emerges from the shadows and pulls a gun, shooting Renee once in the back through the window. Renee tries to drive away but doesn't make it out of the parking lot, dying from her injuries. Her passenger quickly identifies a man in the crowd as the shooter, but charges don't stick. To this day, her case remains unsolved. In this weeks episode, I not only discuss Renee's tragic case but also the controversial topic of eyewitness misidentifications.
