Can Someone Face Adversity Without Suffering a Traumatic Experience?
Manage episode 291349502 series 2670581
On a recent episode of A Bit of Optimism, Simon Sinek interviewed Brene Brown (https://simonsinek.com/discover/episode-27-the-one-with-brene-brown/). During their discussion they talked about raising kids and to prevent them from pain and trauma. Brene made a distinction that you can raise your kids to deal with adversity but without the trauma. This was a fascinating notion because the same principle can (and should) apply with mentorship, coaching, friendships and basically any relationship. With this episode, I explore how this could work, how to approach it in your life and do it effectively.
