Jaeki spoke with Madison Bondoc, leader of a volunteer 3D printing chapter in Washington DC called e-NABLE DC, about the 3D printed face shields they are supplying to frontline healthcare workers to hospitals like Elmhurst Hospital in Queens, NY. When many hospitals are faced with a shortage of PPE, 3D printing communities, including e-NABLE, turned on their 3D printers to fill a urgent need. Using a NIH approved open source face shields file, e-NABLE has been producing face shields around the clock. As of the release of this episode they have delivered over 2000 shields to 59 healthcare facilities across 10 states.
