Live a Life Worth Living

“This has been my life; I found it worth living.” – Bertrand Russell

I believe the measure of a successful life is being able, like Russell, to look back and say it was worth living.

What does that look like? For me I hear the words of a song most famously sung by Mahalia Jackson:

If I can help somebody, as I pass along,

If I can cheer somebody, with a word or song,

If I can show somebody, he is travelling wrong,

Then my living shall not be in vain.
