He was born in Alabama to an American mother and Nigerian father, which led to often confusing and conflicting approaches to money, wealth, and identity. He and Carl discuss how he has embraced change and uncertainty in his career and how he has always found meaning in his work, a trait he picked up from his enterprising father. He also explains why he doesn’t find money to be a very funny topic, and the different approaches he’s experienced with money between being a police officer and a comedian.
