Manage episode 357118236 series 2854903
This is part 2 of my podcast about the nonprofit organization Charity:Water. I read its founder Scott Harrison’s bestselling book Thirst: A Story of Redemption, Compassion and a Mission to Bring Clean Water to the World and fell in love with the organization and all it does to provide clean water to millions of people all over the world. I interviewed its chief global water officer Cristoph Gorder in Ep. #109 so if you have not listened to that episode, please do. In this episode, my guest is Tyler Riewer who is a creative director and focuses on telling the story of what Charity:water is doing and how over 111,000 clean water projects are impacting millions of people in 29 countries. He has traveled to many countries and describes for us some of those projects, particularly in Nepal and Cambodia. Now women and girls, who were previously burdened with the task of finding and carrying water in heavy containers every day for their families, no longer have to. Not only have the health of the people dramatically improved by drinking clean water, but also communities thrive with the ease of access.
