In Podcast Episode 290, “How Exhaustion Can Lead to Faulty Perspectives,“ Kim discusses the levels of exhaustion experienced by the prophet Elijah, soon after the spiritual battle on Mt. Carmel. Exhaustion can lead to many things, none of which are healthy.
Our focal passage for this episode is 1 Kings 19:1-4 with 4 as the focal verse:
4 Then he went on alone into the wilderness, traveling all day. He sat down under a solitary broom tree and prayed that he might die. “I have had enough, Lord,” he said. “Take my life, for I am no better than my ancestors who have already died.”
