SHOW NOTES:

In Podcast Episode 285, “The Lord Said..So Elijah Did,“ Kim discusses the miracles the Lord does through His obedient servants. In today’s lesson, we see a prime example of this principle in the life of the prophet Elijah. Are you listening attentively for the Lord’s voice? When you hear Him speak, do you obey?

Our focal passage for this episode is 1 Kings 17:8-16 with 8-10 as the focal verses:

8 Then the Lord said to Elijah, 9 “Go and live in the village of Zarephath, near the city of Sidon. I have instructed a widow there to feed you.”

10 So he went to Zarephath. As he arrived at the gates of the village, he saw a widow gathering sticks, and he asked her, “Would you please bring me a little water in a cup?”

WEEKLY ASSIGNMENT FEATURE:

When the Lord tells you to do something outside your comfort zone, what is your response?

Additional Resources and Scriptures:

I WANT TO BEGIN A PERSONAL RELATIONSHIP WITH JESUS CHRIST.
