#82- Barber Principles: How Cutting My Husband Fred's Flat Top Taught Me Life Lessons
Manage episode 433807808 series 3560181
In today’s episode, I want to take you back to a moment when the world shut down due to the COVID-19 pandemic. One of the unexpected challenges was the closure of barbershops and hair salons, leaving my husband Fred’s flat top in need of a haircut.
Now, if you know anything about a flat top, you know it’s got to be precise, and we were weeks into lockdown, and his hair was looking rough. But there was no barber in sight—so guess what? Fred turns to me and says, "You can do it. You can cut my hair."
And I’m thinking, Are you kidding me? I mean, I’ve dabbled in haircuts before, but this was different. This wasn’t just a trim; this was a flat top—a flat top that needed to look sharp. But here’s the thing, when you’re faced with a challenge, you’ve got two choices: You can back away or you can step up.
So I stepped up. I believed I could do it, even though I had my doubts.
And I want to share with you the principles I learned from cutting Fred's flat top, which can be applied to various aspects of life.
So tune in to discover the "Barber Principles" and how they can help you step up, push through challenges, and grow in ways you never expected.
