Episode 101: Lessons from an All-In Life with Jeanne Collins
Manage episode 372360362 series 2945549
Jeanne Collins is a single mom to a 16-year-old daughter, an entrepreneur, and the founder of JerMar Designs.
After being in Corporate America for 20 years, she found herself unimaginably laid off from her good-paying executive job after her second company was restructured in 2020. Out of job, she focused on her passion for interior design and eventually turned it into a business. Her designs are mostly based on how people want to feel and function in their homes.
Highlights:
- Reaching out - after realizing her situation, she reached out to everyone for help
- Taking the risk - You don't have to know all the answers or understand it all; allow yourself to fail
- Investing in coaching - it is important to find the right coach to help you navigate your life and career journey
- Prioritizing self and self-care - no hardcore exercise, right food, and physical detox
After leaving the corporate and her executive job, she came to believe that if you do what you love, you will find out how to succeed. She also resonates that nothing is more important than self-care and that it is never too late to refresh, rethink and reinvent oneself after 50 and beyond. If you need her services or what to learn from her, look up www.jermardesigns.com.
