In this week's episode, we're going to be talking with Stephanie Scalise. As a special educator, Stephanie has always been one to help others a teacher, volunteer or neighbor. Once she was diagnosed with stage 3 breast cancer in July of 2015, the tables turned, and her life changed forever as she found herself face-to-face with the unknown and on the receiving end of help from others.
YOU'LL LEARN:
- How an experience such as disease or illness can bring us back to our true selves and on the path to life as we were created and intended to live it?
- Adjusting to the transition and radical transformation of being the helper to the one being helped. The necessity and power of receiving and accepting love, help and support from others.
- The cost of over giving to the point of burn-out and exhaustion, signs and signals and how we can find the balance.
- Life after diagnosis and the many changes and choices that have dramatically changed life for the better for so many.
- The power and peace that comes from giving yourself permission to say “no,” to be your own advocate, to go against “should” and to do what is best and right for you.
