My Name Is Sheba

Sheba visits Birdie and Rusty at the children’s home in Brooklyn. It’s the first time she’s been back to Branford since she was a little girl. She spends the day making the rounds, they hang in the cellar as Sheba reconnects with the old upright piano, then they go to Birdie’s house.

“My Name Is Sheba,” is the twice monthly fictional saga of iconic jazz/R&B artist, Sheba Hawkins, who rose from obscurity as an orphan, to superstardom, and the music she created along the way. It’s also about the creative life, and the beautiful struggle… a different kind of story.
