What is the difference between staying in Airbnbs vs staying at hotels? And if you stay at both, can you take some elements from both that work in both places? Typically, it's all about an experience that is convenient.

Think about who your customer is and what they're looking for. Hotels usually have a concierge that makes guests feel taken care of plus room service and valet. An Airbnb host might find ways to provide those things too - like meeting up with guests before they arrive or doing a consult session before arriving.

Using both types of accommodations can provide us insight into where we can improve upon traditional hotel offerings. If you are hosting remotely like we do, these insights will come in handy - do your guests prefer privacy or would they like to receive personalized luxury services when they check in?

When it comes down to it, privacy is one big element that elevates an Airbnb from regular accomodation to a premium product. Just remember there's always going to be tradeoffs between 'hands-on white glove' service and giving guests a lot of space. Figure out which side of the coin suits you best as an Airbnb host.
