This producer, engineer and sound designer has not only been the man behind the curtain for the one and only FLEE LORD and the LORD MOBB movement the past few years, he’s one of the few good men left who have real rap history and the battle scars to prove it. We dive right into the most recent drop, “No More Humble Fashion,” which is the the ELEVENTH album Flee has dropped this year, what the twelfth album of this 12/12 run in 2020 will be (HAVOC, anyone?) and the experience only someone like French can bring to the table in order to pull off a literal Guinness Book of World Record’s event like this one. Frenchie also recalls some insane early 90’s stories when he was first coming up, like engineering DOO WOP’s “95 Live” mixtape, for one, and landing a placement on KRS-ONE’s first solo album that resulted in a studio session with the Blastmaster himself as well as the one and only FAT JOE. Throw in stories from the making of Flee and PETE ROCK’s “The People’s Champ” and you have yourself a bonafide barnstormer of an interview session this week, folks.
