×In light of the Senate Comfirmation Hearing for Pete Hegseth to be the next Secretary of Defense, it's a perfect time for Dave to talk with fellow vetern and American Thinker writer Mike McDaniel about his recent column, "Does DEI Require Starving Our Troops?" Mr. McDaniel discusses the severe shortage of food for the enlisted force at places such as Fort Hood (currently known as Fort Cavasos), a 335 square mile installation consisting of over 200,000 personnel, where only two of the base's 10 chow halls were open daily during the summer months. This required over an hour's trip by troops just to get lunch during the duty day. Meanwhile, at Fort Carson, one soldier posted a photo of his dinner at the chow hall, which consisted of a single serving of lima beans and a half-piece of toast. As Mr. McDaniel and Dave both observed, this is what happens when limited resources and manhours are spent on "boutique causes" like DEI training and the infusion of Critical Race Theory throughout the Armed Forces rather than maintaining the military's focus on the core mission of being the most effective and lethal fighting force on the planet. This is a conversation you don't want to miss. This episode all features some thoughts on the dumpster fires that the outgoing Biden administration is lighting for the American people on their way out the door. Oh yes, and Dave is a tad giddy over some new devlopments (artwork, music, a new microphone and upcoming improvements) for the podcast, ...and he won't stop talking about them. Don't say you weren't warned...…
On this special "politics-free" edition of the show, Dave welcomes longtime friend and amazing writer Jenna Stocker to talk all things Christmas. As the conversation unfolds, Jenna shares stories from her own childhood Christmases and talks about the traditions and values she is imparting to her own children in the hope that they will hold on to the memories and the lessons that will enrich their young lives beyond measure. It's a heartwarming podcast that also includes a touch of mischief before concluding with a rather poignant essay Dave wrote on Christmas Eve 2011, from the cab of his 18 wheeler at a truck stop on a distant highway. Laughs, poetic memories and an homage to the meaning of Christmas make episode well worth listening to. Merry Christmas!…

1:12:36It's been an amazing and radiant weekend as Ricochet people from as far away as Califorian and Michigan arrived in Panama City Beach, Florida for a meetup and a show. Though all good things must come to an end, the warmth of genuine friendships and exhilarating conversation that infused the gathering remains in the minds and hearts of the attendees. To make matters even more interesting, our own Dave Carter teamed up with NewsTalk@101FM's powerhouse host, Brian Rust , to record a special edition of the Dave Carter Show for Ricochet and Talk Radio listeners alike at the resplendent Harrison's Kitchen & Bar in downtown Panama City. Highlights of the show included compelling interviews with local historian Bob Hurst, Ricochet Member and military historian Brady Kiel, and Ricochet Contributor Susan Quinn. As Dave and Brian talked with their guests, the conversation explored the vital links between an unflenching knowledge of history, the willingness to apply that knowledge to all aspects of civil society from education to national defense, and the critical necessity of carrying an historical perspective, as opposed to the latest ideological fads, into the voting booth. As you might expect, Dave and Brian punctuated the show with generous servings of laughs and good spirits, making the event quite compelling and mischievously entertaining as you will hear for yourself in this high-energy, captivating, rollicking and live edition of the Dave Carter Show…
Election 2024 resulted in a seismic shift in American politics. It turns out that Bureaucracy was on the ballot every bit as much as Democracy as voters decided Donald Trump was the guy to slay the former and restore the latter. Talk Radio host Brian Rust joins Dave to assess the mood of the voting public along with the fate of legacy media stars whose credibiltly is plunging almost as fast as their rating, before looking ahead to the President Elect's staffing decisions and the direction we can expect from a second Trump Administration. If you enjoy listening to Brian and Dave on the show, you will love seeing them in person in just a few short weeks as they record an episode of the show in front of a live audience at Panama Ctiy Beach, Florida. Have a look on the Member's side of the website as details will be forthcoming very soon. While you're at it, have a look at Dave's Website, Dave Carter Online for more articles, podcasts, research references and more!…
We've all heard variations on the question: What motivated a majority of Americans to cast their vote for Donald Trump in the 2024 Election? Ricochet's Dave Carter was on the receiving end of just such and inquiry from a high school class mate he knew years ago in his hometown of Lake Charles, Louisiana. This episode, without any guests or interviews, provides Dave's answer. It is, as he says, "respectfully tendered," in the hope that whether or not there is agreement on policy issues, the listener will be disabused of the idea that Trump voters are motivated by racism, sexism, selfishness or any other nefarious motives. But here, take the next 20 minutes and listen for yourself.…
Dave sits down with author and scholar Dr. Anders W. Edwardsson to discuss his recent book, Radical Betrayal; How Liberals and Neoconservatives are Wrecking American Exceptionalism . Exploring a book of extraordinary depth, Dave and Dr. Edwardsson take us on a journey that begins as far back as Mesopotamia, exploring recurring historical themes and the roots of political movements whose threads weave through the totality of the human experience and onto the pages of today's headlines. From the rugged individualim that helped spur the American Revolution to the dominance of progresssive ideas on the national stage, contending visions of man's relationship to the state and to his fellow man unfold as the conversation stops at crucial points in American history before Dr. Edwardsson takes an unflinching assessment of where America is today and the choices we face. It's a compelling conversattion that you won't want to miss. Don't forget to take a look at Dave's Website at Dave Carter Online , and keep tuning into future episodes as our host prepares for special eiditon of the Dave Carter Show to be recorded in front of a live audience in the Florida panhandle!…
As Election Day draws near, who better than Dave and Dave to analyize events, deconstruct narratives, and have a laugh or two along the way. Whiskey Dave joins Ricochet's Dave Carter to sift through the Vice Presidential Debate between JD Vance and Tim Walz to highlight not only the salient points that were raised in the debate, but to ask whether debates in the current format and venues are even useful. Then, the performance of the Biden / Harris Administration is examined when it comes to the cataclysmic carnage and wreckage of Western North Carolina,, Eastern Tennessee and portions of Georgia in the wake of Hurricane Helene. Speaking of cataclysmic, the Obama / Biden / Harris / Blinken policy of American weakness in the face of Iranian aggression takes center stage as Whiskey Dave relates his own experiences in the region and his encyclopedic knowledgle of the cultural ethos of Israel as well as those who seek its elimination. If you like hard-nosed analysis, tempered at times with a comedic touch, this episode is for you.…
Dave is joined by Talk Radio Host Brian Rust to discuss the second assassination attempt on President Trump's life. In a time when the abnormal is becoming normalized, the question remains; What would you do if you were the one who luckily survived two attempted murders in the course of two months? The path that brought us to this surreal chapter in American life is the subject of discussion between Dave and Brian as they seek to make some sense of the current madness. Following the discussion with Mr. Rust, Dave let's us in on his latest online adventure,..and there's talk of an upcoming collaboration between Dave and Brian and their upcoming podcast which will be done before a live audience. Stay tuned....…
At a time when despair and depression are just a mouse-click away and the very air itself weighs heavy with bad news and mayhem, the occasional laugh can be refreshing and cathartic. Which is why Ricochet's Dave Carter turned to friend and comedian David Deeble to get his decidedly wry perspective and unique humor on all sorts of topics. A veteran comedian who has traveled the world and performed in a variety of venues, David Deeble has appeared on the Tonight Show with Jay Leno, the Late Late Show with James Corden, CBS This Morning, America's Got Talent, Last Comic Standing, among many other places and programs. In this episode, the two Daves discuss everything from life on a cruise ship, to the pleasures of European airport security, Donald Trump's righteous mug show scowl, and the state of stand-up comedy today (including something Dave Carter refers to as "The Dance of the Monotonous Vulgarians"). Calling in from Germany, David Deeble has a great many observations and perspectives that we believe you will find quite interesting. And of course there are the laughs, which are never far away in this relaxing and enjoyable episode.…
How would you react if you learned that your home is haunted by an entity that was there long before you, effectively making you a guest in your own home? Most of us have seen various television shows featuring paranormal investigations, and it's fairly easy to speculate about how we would react from the comfort of a non-haunted home. But how would you react if it was happening at your own residence? That's the question facing Ricochet's Dave Carter as he grapples with rather odd happenings at his home by the bay in Panama City, Florida. In this politics free edition of The Dave Carter Show, our host invites longtime friends and paranormal investigators Paul Bonnette and his lovely and charming wife Nikki into his home to have a look at the situation, after which they join Dave and Becky in studio to discuss their findings. The result is a riveting conversation that we believe you will find quite compelling whether you believe in the paranormal or not. The show also features an interesting perspective on Jason Aldean's hit song "Try That In A Small Town" and an offbeat news report from announcer Mark Benoit and a cast of characters. So dim the lights, hide the Ouija Board, and enjoy an evening with the spirits.…
As the Presidential Primary season gets underway, Dave turns to talk radio host extraordinaire Brian Rust whose diagnosis of the political scene is spot-on and as accurate as anyone else in the business. A radio broadcaster with nearly 34 years experience, Mr. Rust is the host of The Brian Rust Show , which is heard and viewed across the country and in several countries around the world. As the conversation progresses, Dave and Brian discuss the current field of Republican presidential contenders, including Vivek Ramaswamy, Rick Scott and, of course, Donald Trump and how receptive the electorate may be to Republican policies. The recent congressional testimony of FBI Director Christopher Wray comes under scrutiny, as does the campaign of Florida Governor Ron DeSantis. It's an interesting conversation and a compelling episode that includes everything from Dave's tales from his job of transporting patients to and from doctor's appointments, to an impending paranormal investigation of Dave's residence and, of course, the fascinating conversation of two broadcasters. We think you'll enjoy the result!…
In this episode (the first in a little while), Ricochet's own Dave Carter catches us up various events in his world before sitting down with Whiskey Dave for an in-depth discussion on the what they both agree is the "absolute insanity" filling the current headlines. From presidential politics, the Trump indictment and foreign affairs to the tendency of the left to overwhelm Americans' attention with a multitude of assaults on reason, culture, and civil society generally. Never one to wallow in despair, Dave then treats us to a bit of presidential satire to tickle the funny bone. It's good to have him back, great to hear his new podcast sound kit, and informative to hear the two Daves discuss current events.…

1:01:38There’s nothing quite like a radical change in lifestyle, location, and vocation to bring out the podcaster in Ricochet’s Dave Carter. After a year and a half’s hiatus, Dave is now safely and happily ensconced in Florida, on “The World’s Most Beautiful Beaches.” As it turns out, the thing he most wanted to accomplish after getting settled in was setting up his in-home studio and firing up the...
