As Christians, how does the Gospel form us? Maybe this question has crossed your mind or maybe it hasn’t, the formation we go through in Christ is an ongoing process. This week we continue in our series, Good News, studying the Gospel and how it shapes our lives. As we seek after Christ and are continually molded by Him, we are given three action steps. We are to remember our former bondage—where we were before Christ, return to our former zeal, and receive Christ’s formative work. When we allow ourselves to be formed by the Gospel, we experience the freedom that can only come when we are in Christ. Our Savior renews us each day, as we surrender ourselves to His work and give Him the space to shape and form us.
