Good morning, DC weather watchers! This is your friendly neighborhood meteorologist with today's forecast, and boy, do we have some exciting weather headed our way!
Today's looking like a wet and wild ride. We're expecting showers likely between 9 in the morning and 2 in the afternoon. Clouds will be our constant companion, with temperatures climbing to a surprisingly warm 69 degrees Fahrenheit. Winds will be dancing from the south at 9 to 16 miles per hour, then switching to a westerly direction in the afternoon. Hold onto your hats, because those gusts could reach up to 34 miles per hour!
Tonight, we'll see a cloudy start that gradually clears up, with temperatures dropping to a crisp 40 degrees Fahrenheit. Expect west winds around 9 to 13 miles per hour, with some playful gusts up to 22 miles per hour.
Friday brings us a mostly sunny day with a high near 56 degrees Fahrenheit. Northwest winds will be gentle, around 10 to 14 miles per hour, potentially switching to southwest in the afternoon.
The weekend's looking like a bit of a temperature rollercoaster. Saturday will be partly sunny and near 61 degrees Fahrenheit, while Sunday cools down dramatically with a high around 40 degrees Fahrenheit.
Next week starts off chilly but sunny, with temperatures gradually warming up. By Tuesday, we're looking at a mild 56 degrees Fahrenheit, with a chance of rain rolling in Tuesday night.
And Wednesday? Pack your umbrellas, folks! We're talking rain with an 80 percent chance of precipitation and temperatures reaching 64 degrees Fahrenheit.
