Dr. Wanda Austin is the former President and Chief Executive of The Aerospace Corporation, the USC Interim President from 2018-2018, a USC Trustee and a member of the National Academy of Engineering. She is USC’s first Black and first female president. Dr. John Brooks Slaughter is the former Director of the National Science Foundation, President of Occidental College, Chancellor of the University of Maryland, and is currently a Member of the National Academy of Engineering. He holds a joint appointment at the USC Viterbi School of Engineering and the Rossier School of Education. He is the first Black director of the NSF.
