Lindsay Bryan-Podvin is a social worker-turned-financial therapist, author, and speaker. She has a Master's degree in Social Work from the University of Michigan, and a bachelor's degree in Sociology from Michigan State University. She authored the book, “The Financial Anxiety Solution” which is a self-paced workbook that integrates therapy techniques to improve your relationship with money. I've been talking about how our relationship with food and money are so connected since the dawn of time. Okay, maybe it feels like it to me. But the way we relate to food and the way we interact with money are so so similar. Take the restrict-binge cycle. The food part is obvious. You restrict and binge on food. But what about money? Ever feel super calculated about how you use your money? Ever say, I can't have that it's too expensive, even when it really isn't? Ever find yourself spending lots and lots of money on things you can't understand why? As if there was a lapse in judgment for a second? Listen to this episode for more on all this and what to do if this feels like you.
