Upon the release of a deck of cold case cards in 2018, detectives began to look into the little girl's death with advanced DNA testing technology and put all their efforts into one suspect: a legal immigrant from Cape Verde named Joao Monteiro. Despite little-to-no evidence, and extreme speculation, Joao was arrested for Christine's death in 2019, but released on bail the next day. To this day, several years later, Joao is still the prime suspect in Christine's murder...but did he do it?
