Welcome 1.32

Claire shares how her work as an oncologist making people chemically menopausal, along with her own perimenopausal experiences awoke an interest in somatic sexology, helping people to understand their sexuality, using the body rather than our minds. 2.32

How menopause can become an excuse to get out of rubbish sex it becomes a cultural resignation rather than an opportunity to explore what we want from our sex lives 6.23

Being clear on what it is that we actually want? Who are we, as sexual beings, what do we need sexually? 7.43

When we start working on our sexuality it will lead to a whole lot of other positive things in our life, 11.22

60 to 70% of women will experience some element of vaginal atrophy, that whole area is reliant upon estrogen for it to function optimally. We have choices to use hormones or natural methods 13.34

Body image comes down to this place of acceptance and exercising and beginning to become familiar with that element of self-compassion for who we are right now, 18.07

It's very common that women never looked at their own genitals, or touched themselves, and have a lot of shame and issues with masturbation 20.02

Giving ourselves attention sexually flows to other aspects of lives for example many women experience weight loss working with Claire as an additional benefit 30.05

Learning to say No is important because otherwise your yes means nothing. 33.21

Partners care but 30% of women will have sex that's unpleasant or painful for them and not tell their partner. 37.40

You can have great sex through menopause and beyond. And it is available to everyone who wants to and there’s a whole array of things that can give you an pleasurable fulling experience 14.47
