Leadership is a Decision
Manage episode 328380916 series 2871648
“The range of what we think and do is limited by what we fail to notice. And because we fail to notice that we fail to notice, there is little we can do to change; until we notice how failing to notice shapes our thoughts and deeds.” - R.D. Lang
What are two attributes that are most critical to leadership?
Having the awareness to know what type of leader you are, certainly is important. Yet, perhaps not as important as being open to the type of leader you think you are but aren’t. And maybe what is most important is knowing the type of leader you’re committed to being in the future. The leader you are today is not the leader you’ll be tomorrow, if you’re willing to acknowledge and work on the growth edges that stand in the way of you evolving into the leader you’re capable of being.
Where there is no vulnerability there is no openness Where there is no openness there is neither growth nor courage
In this episode Dr. Daniel Ellenberg returns to The Self Help Antidote to discuss his expertise around leadership. Daniel Ellenberg Ph.D is an acclaimed author, radio and television personality, consultant, therapist and principal at the Rewire Leadership Institute. His primary interest is researching and teaching skills that allow people to thrive, rather than simply survive.
Our conversation is critical to everyone that has a relationship with anyone.
