This week's soundtrack is 100% heavy metal! Or rather, it's the soundtrack to the 1981 animated cult classic Heavy Metal! And to help us break it all down, we brought in a pair of ringers. Libby's husband Ian Austin is here to give us the history of the Heavy Metal comics, while Eeon Smith is on hand to provide commentary on the laserdisc format. And of course, all four of us dive into the soundtrack to this weird, horny mess of a film.

So how's that soundtrack? It's an all-star lineup of classic hard rock acts like Cheap Trick, Grand Funk Railroad, Sammy Hagar, Journey and Blue Oyster Cult! Oh, you were hoping for some heavy metal? Well there's Black Sabbath. And Steely Dan's Donald Fagen. That guy's totally metal.

Look, it's a crazy, mixed up universe out there, and Heavy Metal has the goods to prove it. So strap on your battle armor bikini and raise your space swords high. It's about to get weird...
