The Great American Pop Culture Quiz Show

Once again, we’re arrived at the season finale. Will Ilan take his second crown, or will Keegan or Abhi upset the returning champion? To answer that, we’ll need to start at the beginning, so it makes sense that we start round one with a game all about TV and movie prequels, put through the lens of a certain iconic butler. Then, it’s the big game in round two where we’ll identify not only some TV theme songs, but the other works of the iconic musicians responsible for them. And course, a lightning round!

🚧 The Cheap Trick version of "In The Street" got the parenthetical title "That 70s Song" and was released on their greatest hits album.

🍗 The theme song to King of the Hill is called "Yahoos and Triangles." The Refreshments broke up in 1998, but the core of the band still tours under the name Roger Clyne and the Peacemakers.

🍩 Bowling for donuts is a joke from Garfield that Dan somehow internalized.

🦁 The Roar scorebreak: Roar: the Shaun Cassidy series that’s the Achilles heel of anyone doing a complete Heath Ledger watch through. Did we ever find out what the "roar" actually was? [7/10: Never heard of this, somehow, but it also has Keri Russell and Vera Farmigia. Huh.]
📍 According to an article in National Geographic, Lake Wobegon is in central Minnesota. Also: fictional.

🔫 1993’s Point of No Return is one of several remakes of Luc Besson’s La Femme Nikita.

🔺 Cleopatra 2525 was from the creators of Xena, and very much an attempt to do a sci-fi version of that show. It has the same basic premise as Futurama and is best remembered for it’s use of "2525" as a theme song.

⚔️ Mythic Quest was known as Mythic Quest: Raven’s Banquet in season one.

🐶 The live action version of Lady And The Tramp went straight to streaming in 2019.
