“When I was 18, I was at a crossroads.

I desperately wanted to make the world a better place. I desperately wanted to make my life better too, after a life of crippling social, financial, and mental health issues.

But I thought changing my life and the world at the same time was impossible. Perhaps I’d need a high paying job I’d hate.

But I got lucky. I was asked to support with an entrepreneurial project delivering a mentoring programme for Nando’s. Through that, an org I was involved with gave me a copy of a book one of it’s co-founders (Holly Branson) co-authored, called WEconomy. I took it with me while I lived in a mountaintop village in Nepal for a few months. There, totally out of my comfort zone and in a much more basic environment, I learned about something that changed my life: Social entrepreneurship.

I thought changing my life and changing the world at the same time was impossible. But here was something giving me the exact formula for it!

My life ever since has been all about changing the world through sustainable, socially-minded innovations”.
