Pam Rickard is an accomplished marathoner and ultra marathoner. And...a recovering alcoholic. 13 years ago, after 3 DUI's in 18 months and jail, she was at rock bottom. Now she is a running ambassador and lifts up others who are trying to straighten out their lives. Pam came from not wanting to live to being so full of life, its amazing. Jim Mackert is 82 and on Sunday May 19, he completed his 42nd Cleveland marathon. The only one ever to run in and complete all 42.. I spoke with both Saturday at the running expo. Pam ran the 10K with her hubby Tom and her 80 year old father Bob Virant, while spreading the gospel of the Herren Project. Sadly, a 22 year old young lady, Taylor Ceepo collapsed and died very close to the marathon finish. She was a Walsh University soccer player who had just graduated.
