Collaboration to boost innovation as a means of preventing non-communicable diseases.

Dr Sandro Demaio is the CEO of VicHealth. Georgia McDonald is the COO at LaunchVic. LaunchVic is the Victorian state government agency responsible for startups. VicHealth is an independent statutory authority that is financed by a tobacco tax. In this episode, Pete, Sandro and Georgia have a conversation about a new partnership between VicHealth and LaunchVic, called CivVic Labs, which seeks to harness the power of entrepreneurship and innovation to advance the health of Victoria’s young people. This episode surrounds the need for multiple solutions being deployed across multiple sectors from multiple partners to solve a significant issue that affects even our youth.
