SHR # 2708:: The Pandemic Prevention No One Is Talking About - Dr. Erika Schwartz, MD - The American government missed a huge opportunity in 2020 at the onset of this pandemic. They could have focused on the real problem at hand. The general poor health due to horrible lifestyle choices of our population. Instead of talking about "comorbidities" as some broad sweeping generalization, they could have called it what it really is. A population set on developing self-acquired illnesses by eating too much, sleeping and moving too little, and depending on pharmaceutical drugs to mitigate the symptoms. But how can government and medical orthodoxy tell you the truth when they've given messages for so long that its not your fault you're overweight or have type 2 diabetes? Had they spoken truthfully they would have said the people at greatest risk of dying from this virus are the most obese and unhealthy. And these will be the ones who will die when the next pandemic hits. And there will be others. It's time for some honesty and tough talk. It's time to tell everyone THEY have to take responsibility for their own survival.
