BANG! @southernvangard #radio presents the HUBBS interview session! We’re in Pittsburgh this week for our Thursday interview session to chat with Hubbs, who dropped a stellar LP at the end of 2020, “EL RON HUBBS.” While he’s been making the feature rounds the past year with J. Sands, Napoleon Da Legend and The Wrecking Crew, he’s also been crafting the follow up to 2019’s “TONY PENA.” We talk the ins and outs of the project, the meaning behind the artwork found on the Big Jerm produced first single, “Coattails’’ and how a family member ended up on the cover of the album. Of course we get into a little Pittsburgh talk, including J. Sands impact on him coming up, how the city continues to shape his art and we get hip to his Modern Vintage PGH apparel and brand. So hit Bandcamp real quick and cop “EL RON HUBBS” today, press play on this interview and rejoice in the streets ‘cause it’s ALWAYS that #SmithsonianGrade #TwiceAWeek #WeAreTheGard // southernvangard.com // @southernvangard on #applepodcasts #stitcherradio #soundcloud #mixcloud #youtube // #hiphop #rap #undergroundhiphop #boombap #DJ #mix #interview #podcast #ATL #WORLDWIDE #RIPCOMBATJACK Recorded live January 17, 2021 @ Dirty Blanket Studios, Marietta, GA southernvangard.com @southernvangard on #applepodcasts #soundcloud #youtube #spotifypodcast #googlepodcasts #stitcherradio #mixcloud #SmithsonianGrade #TwiceAWeek #WeAreTheGard twitter/IG: @southernvangard @jondoeatl @cappuccinomeeks
