The Annabelle movie franchise comes from terrifying origins. The real Annabelle is no more than a simple Raggedy Anne doll from 1970, when she was gifted to a young nursing student by her mother. Activity builds slowly until eventually Ed and Lorraine Warren get involved and confirm the three signs of demonic activity from the doll: Teleportation, materialization and the "mark of the beast". Things only get stranger after the Warren's take possession of Annabelle. What do we learn today? Do not mock evil.
