Christian submission is beautiful and redemptive because it echoes Christ’s submission for our salvation. All Christians are called to lives of submission to Christ and to the authorities over us. Specifically, Peter calls on wives to follow their husbands, hoping in God. Trusting Him no matter what. And Peter calls husbands to honor their wives, hoping in God. Sacrificing and providing for them. Let’s view our marriages not as an end in themselves, but a vehicle through which we can herald Christ.
