Episode 15: Giving Back to Our Communidad with Rosario Trejo, Senior Director of Housing at Downtown Women’s Center Los Angeles
Manage episode 367420968 series 3456086
Today, we’re joined by Rosario Trejo, Senior Director of Housing at the Downtown Women’s Center in Los Angeles. DWC is the only organization in Los Angeles focused exclusively on serving and empowering women experiencing homelessness and formerly homeless women, and Tadin has been a proud supporter of their mission for many years.
In our conversation, Rosario expands on the incredible work she and her team are doing at DWC. Between permanent supportive housing, job training, and wellness programs, DWC is a leader in the movement to end homelessness in Los Angeles.
When Rosario needs a pocket of peace in her busy day, she likes to slow down with a hot taza of chamomile tea. She grew up watching her parents steep the same bolsas when they wanted something warm and comforting, and she continues the Tadin tradition to this day.
Listen in to learn more about the Downtown Women’s Center in Los Angeles and how you can get involved with the organization.
