Have you ever found yourself saying, “I’d love to, BUT ___ “? I would bet money that you have on more than one occasion. And I have, too!
The thing is, the desires we have (or *think* we have) always come with a price. Sometimes the price involves an exchange of money, but often there are other factors adding to the cost as well.
For example, you may say you want a puppy… but you’re not currently in place to take on the vet bills, training, 24/7 attention, and more that a puppy needs. With this in mind, you may not *actually* want a puppy! At least, not right now… And that’s great! Because you’re recognizing what’s important to you right at this moment.
As a result, you end up moving towards your true desires and ultimately, end up with what you really want. This is the process of the “price of admission”.
With practice, assessing the “price of admission” helps you become hyper-aware of the “price” of whatever it is you desire so you can define what you ACTUALLY want in your life.
When you discover something you really do desire, you accept the price, and you DO IT.
